Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

IRAs are one of the best savings tools available to help you meet your future financial goals, plus you may be eligible to benefit from the tax advantages provided through them. We offer several different IRAs and suggest you consult with your tax advisor or Avadian Financial Services to help you make the best choice:

  • Traditional IRA Shares - An IRA in which interest earned is tax deferred. Earns a quarterly rate and compounds daily.
  • Traditional IRA CD - An IRA in which interest earned is tax deferred. Allows you to lock in your IRA rate for 7 days to 60 months.
  • Roth Share IRA - A non-tax-deductible IRA that features tax-free withdrawals after a five-year holding period in certain circumstances (like a first-time home purchase). Earns a quarterly rate and compounds daily.
  • Roth CD IRA - Features the benefits of the Roth IRA with a locked-in rate for 7 days to 60 months.
  • Coverdell Education Savings Account - A non-tax-deductible account that features tax-free withdrawals for a child's higher education expenses. Earns a quarterly rate determined by our Board of Directors and compounds daily.

Whichever you choose, you can always feel confident knowing your investments are safe with us. The credit union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Additional coverage up to $250,000 provided by Excess Share Insurance Corporation, a licensed insurance company.

*Penalty will be imposed if a withdrawal of principal is made. Other penalties may apply. Refer to your IRA Plan for details.
