Making Financial Services Personal
Avadian Credit Union has a more-than-eight-decade history of offering dedicated financial services to our members. After starting out with just seven charter members (seven!) back in 1934, we now serve more than 80,000 members and manage more than $750 million in assets, making us one of the largest credit unions in Alabama. But we're committed to offering the same personal, hands-on service you'd expect from a locally owned financial institution. Maybe because that's exactly what we are — an institution owned by our members who live in the communities we serve with the single goal of helping you you have a healthy financial life.
We offer a lot of the same services as other financial institutions, but because we're community-oriented, we charge fewer and lower fees and offer better interest rates than most banks. We're managed by an unpaid, volunteer Board of Directors, meaning that any money we make goes back to serving our members. And that's our only goal — serving our members' best interests, which are our own.

As part of the CO-OP Shared Branching and ATM network, Avadian members have access to service at partner branches across the country. You have access to more than 5,000 branch locations and almost 30,000 ATMs almost anywhere you are. We also offer online, mobile, and 24-hour telephone banking, giving you the ability to access your account anytime, anywhere.
