CO-OP Shared Branching and Shared ATM Network

Do you participate in the CO-OP Shared Branching Network?
Yes, Avadian participates in the Shared Branching and ATM Network.

Shared Branching transactions may be conducted at the following branches: Chelsea, Dothan (on West Main Street), Greystone (Birmingham), Geneva, Huntsville (South Parkway), and Midtown (Birmingham).

Shared ATM transactions may be conducted fee-free at any Avadian ATM or ATM Plus+.

 

Do you cash checks for members of other credit unions?
If your credit union is a participant in the CO-OP Shared Branching Network, you may cash checks at participating Avadian branches. Shared Branching transactions may be conducted at the following branches: Chelsea, Dothan (on West Main Street), Greystone (Birmingham), Geneva, Huntsville (South Parkway), and Midtown (Birmingham).

 

Notary Publics

Do you have notary publics?
We have notary publics on staff at each branch, and there is no fee for our notary services. You can click here to request an appointment to make sure you one will be there when you stop by.

Please note that we are unable to notarize birth certificates, death certificates, and divorce decrees.

 

What do I need to have to get something notarized?
You will need to have a current ID that includes a photo, physical description, and a signature – usually a driver’s license or passport.

Coins

Do you accept rolled coins?
We do not accept rolled coins at branches with coin machines. Branches with coin machines are Chelsea, Colonnade, Dothan (on Main Street), Dothan (at S.E. AL Medical Center), Gardendale, Geneva, Greystone, Helena, Homewood, Hoover, Hueytown, Mobile, Pelham, and Trussville.

Rolled coins are accepted from members at branches without coin machines. Rolled coins must include your name and account number on each roll. Rolled coins are not accepted from non-members or Shared Branching members.

 

What are the fees associated with using the coin machine at a branch?
For members, there is no charge on the first $200 each year. After the $200 threshold is reached, there is a fee of 10% of the amount over $200.

For nonmembers, there is a 10% charge of all coins counted.

 

General Questions

Do you sell U.S. Savings Bonds?
We do not sell U.S. Savings Bonds. New electronic savings bonds are also purchased through the TreasuryDirect website.

We redeem paper bonds except Series HH bonds. If you have a Series HH bond, learn how to cash it here.

Electronic savings bonds are redeemed through the U.S. Department of Treasury’s TreasuryDirect website.

 

How do I find my account number?
The easiest way to find your account number is through online and mobile banking. Once logged in, simply select the account tile then select Details & Settings, and your account number will be shown below.

If you are not an online and mobile banking user, you may call 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426) or visit your local branch.

 

How do I get a copy of my account statement?
You can retrieve a statement via online and mobile banking by selecting Statements and Forms>Statements.

You can also visit your local branch and request a statement. If you have received a statement already this month, you may be subject to a $5 fee.

 

Do I need to make an appointment to visit the branch?
You do not need an appointment to visit the branch, but you may make one if you have a specific need and you want to make sure someone is there who will be able to handle your transaction. You can make an appointment here.

 

Can I do wire transfers at any branch?
Yes, all of our branches can do wire transfers. You should know, however, that wire transfers may take up to 24 hours to go through, so if you are closing on a mortgage and need a wire transfer, please make every effort to do it ahead of time.

You will need to go into a branch to make a wire transfer for the first time. After the first time, if we have a current Funds/Wire Transfer Agreement Form, you may initiate a wire transfer over the phone by calling 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426).

 

How do I update my address?
You can update your address in online banking. Just sign in then select Settings>Update Information and then click submit.

You can also stop by your nearest branch or call Member Services at 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426).

 

Can you help me restore my credit?
We do have some products that will help you restore your credit. The best way for us to help you address your situation specifically is to visit your local branch and have a conversation with our staff there.

 

Can I exchange currency at Avadian?
Unfortunately, we do not exchange American dollars for foreign currencies.

 

Is Member Services available 24-hours a day?
You may contact us at 1.888.AVADIAN (1.888.282.3426) any time, day or night. We have an after-hours service that answers calls after normal business hours, and their access to your accounts may be limited.

Our social media and Google Business pages are monitored Monday through Friday (except holidays) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. However, these are not secure channels, so we cannot answer account-specific questions via these accounts.



The credit union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration.
Additional insurance of up to $250,000 on your savings accounts is provided by Excess Share Insurance Corporation, a licensed insurance company.
